Silly question... re: the rehearsal dinner

He-Gives-Me-Butterflyz, on July 7, 2010 at 12:27 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

So, I think this is a really silly question, but I'm not too proud to ask... Be kind. Smiley winking

The restaurant where we're having our rehearsal dinner provides a cake in our package. The woman asked me what I want written on the cake and my mind went blank. She suggested "Best Wishes" or "Congratulations"... I guess either would be fine, but I kinda want the rehearsal dinner to be more about recognizing and honoring our parents and wedding party. I guess like more of a 'thank you' to them. So... what should I have them write on the cake? Are any of ya'll having a cake (or did you) and if so, what will be (or was) written on it?

Thanks!

We didn't have cake, but I like the "thank you" idea best, especially since you can accompany the cake with a toast to your BP.

    "To our friends and family,

    thank you."

    Maybe like that?

    or...

"Thank you for making our special day so special"

"Thank you. With love, the bride and groom"

Maybe ..if its a sheetcake and large enough you could have them write "Congratulations to the ______ & _____ families!" or "Thank you for making joining families so wonderful" or someting mushy Smiley smile
