Silk vs Real Flowers

on June 27, 2019 at 9:53 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8
I used to work for a flower shop so you would think I want real and super extravagant, but i want the opposite! How many of you did silks? I can make them ahead of time, not have to worry about storage, and those that want to keep them can! I also only want bouquets and corsages and such. No other flowers. Did anyone else do this?

I did fake flowers. Fresh has such a nice feel and look but they're expensive

I am doing silk for the decor and real for the bouquets/corsages/boutonnieres.

That is a good idea too! Those are harder to make.

I bought artificial bouquets/boutonnieres and absolutely love them! I didn't have to worry about anyone's allergies acting up, they are much harder to damage & hardy even in the heat. Smiley smile

We're doing all fake flowers. I just didn't want to spend the money on real flowers, but mainly I wanted it to be something that could be done ahead of time. We have a family friend making all of them.

We are doing artificial flowers. I am making paper flowers out of maps (our wedding is travel themed) for centerpieces. Bouquets/boutonnieres will be either artificial flowers or combo of artificial and map flowers! Nobody even notices and the artificial flowers save so much hassle.
