Silk flowers

A lot of faux flowers now look really real! I don’t think it’s gonna look tacky

I’ve found that most people use silk flowers, especially for centerpieces. I don’t think it’s tacky at all, but that’s just me. Like Melle said, nowadays, the fake ones can and do look very real. Not tacky at all. Flowers are expensive, even the fake ones. I’m all up for saving money. We’re using silk flowers!

I don’t think so. I am making mine with premade bouquets from Hobby Lobby - they were about $8 each when on sale.

You can do whatever you choose! I found that silk flowers that look real cost just as much as a real flowers. So we went with real. But whatever you choose will be beautiful!

I’m using faux greenery for my centerpieces and they are so pretty! They’re around 2 feet long and cost $21 each from a shop on Etsy 😊

If you have access to Sams or Costco, you can get flowers for about same price as silk. And you can get vases cheap at dollar store or second hand store. The silk are awesome though. Make sure if yo go to Michaels or Hobby lobby to get them on sale. I’m going to do silk for the chairs for ceremony.

I used fake flowers in my small ceremony this past weekend. They actually turned out great. We used them on the arch and as centerpieces for the tables...

I think I’m going to have real flowers as my centerpieces, just because I’m doing the flowers for everything else and I want to give myself some of a break. Silk flowers are beautiful and last a lot longer!

I looked into silk flowers and quickly realized they are just as much as the real deal. So we are skipping flowers all together except for my bouquet and flower crowns for my bridesmaids.

I used boomerangblooms.com to rent my flowers, bouquets, centerpieces, corsages and boutonnieres for the guys. They looked great and saved me so much money.

Silks are not inappropriate. I always hate the word tacky because it's tossed around on anything and everything because people don't like something.

Price out silks locally at Joanns or Michaels and compare to fiftyflowers.com which is less expensive than many silk/wood flowers.
