Silhouette Cameo

DIY Bride, on May 16, 2019 at 1:30 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8
I'm thinking of buying myself a silhouette cameo. What can you ladies tell me about it? Is it similar to the Circuit? The closer that I get to my wedding the more I want to do DIY!

I don't have any experience with Silhouette, but yes, it is similar to the Cricut just different software. If you want to DIY items for your wedding, I would purchase now and start practicing immediately so that you're better prepared for your more important projects.

I have a cricut explore air 2. I did a lot of research before purchasing and found a lot of people saying silhouette is more complicated to use. As for the cricut there is soo many YouTube videos and tutorials that I learned a lot from.

My fiance has one. It is a lot of trial and error. I definitely recommend buying it ASAP to get used to it and develop your craft.

There are a lot of things that I want to DIY! I'm hoping I can make stencils with the Silhouette Cameo and use them for all different things. I love crafting, for me its a stress reliever! My FH tells me I have too much stuff (its a lot of craft stuff) because I do a little bit of everything!

I’m trying to decide between the silhouette cameo 3 and cricut explore air 2. I have watched videos that compare them and they both have pros and cons. Any more insight into both of these products?

If you can spring a bit more for the Cricut Maker over the Explore, I would do it. The adaptive blade technology and the different types of blades available make this machine so powerful. And since the blade depth is set automatically by the machine, no guess work at all. With the rotary blade, you can cut fabric really nicely, too.

I have a Cameo 2 and the Cricut Maker. I think the Maker is the better machine, BUT I do think Silhouette has better design software.
