View Quoted Comment Makes sense. There are a lot of logistics! Such as, who will change the film when one runs out, extra batteries for the cameras, plenty of extra film, etc. A traditional guest book is a lot easier, and less things to haul around and setup.

View Quoted Comment You get the messages in a downloadable file. You ship the phone back to them and they “clean” up the audio (I.e. try to get rid of any back noise) and then send you the messages.

View Quoted Comment It is odd! People cited being uncomfortable or it’s not their thing. The signature doesn’t even have to legible and only takes a second. To each their own.

I try to sign, but I've definitely forgotten.

I make sure I sign it. We had about 25% sign it on their own, then my SIL went around to remind people to sign it and helped with taking pictures (it was a polaroid guestbook) and I'd say we got over half our guests to sign the guestbook.

View Quoted Comment I always try to sign too! I have stepped away and came back later if the line was too long, but usually made sure to at least sign my name. I can totally see how people might forget if they decide to come back at a time when there isn't a line.

View Quoted Comment Awesome that your SIL was able to help get more people to sign it! Did she have anyone decline to sign when she approached them with it? We are also doing a photo guest book, and I'm really hoping that as many of our guests sign it as possible!

I haven't been to a wedding before but my own lol but when i do I will make sure to sign the guestbook! I had one and a good amount did sign it.

There was no announcement for it. We had it where you would be able to see it as people walked in and also in was in the same section where cocktail hour was, so that may have helped!
