Signature drinks

FutureMrsG, on July 23, 2015 at 1:04 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 23

I really want to choose a signature drink that a lot of people are going to like. I realize that I won't be able to please everyone. We are doing beer, wine, and our signature drink. Also, I want to pick a cute name for the drink. I have got to get my creative juices flowing. What are you ladies thinking for your signature drink?

We're doing a bourbon old fashioned. I realize it's not everyone's cup of tea, but we'll still have a full open bar. Ours is more of a "suggested" drink, as it goes well with BBQ! Plus, it's mine and FH's favorite, so if guests don't like it, they can suck it. (Kidding.)

I also like the idea of a Moscow mule. People love them, they're trendy now, and they're light and refreshing. The only problem is that they're supposed to be served in copper mugs, and a lot of venues probably won't have that.

What's your meal? We're serving beer, wine and sangria because we're having Mexican food. And FH bought a bunch of scotch one day impulsively so I guess we'll have that too!

We found Dr. Who themed drinks. Smiley smile

ETA: our venue cost also included a full bar, so this will just be there for some fun drink suggestions.

Rebecca H. We are having a buffet style dinner with chicken, salmon, and steak. JaKLYn that is awesome that your venue fee included an open bar and the dr. Who themed drinks are a nice addition to the bar.

We're from Jamaica and every Jamaican wedding has rum punch but instead I'm having it made so that the color is purple and we're calling it purple passion rum punch

I like the Moscow Mule idea... also since your wedding is in September, you could make one of the drinks more autumn-y.

    Something like one of these:

We don't have many details of our dinner party set yet, but I'm thinking of having some kind of bourbon & apple cider cocktail... mmm, fall!

My sis/BIL did a signature drink at their wedding and called it the Bryshell (Bryan - Michelle). I don't remember what the drink was though haha. It was blue.

We are doing exactly the same bar setup as you, so we also wanted to pick drinks that most people would like. We are doing margaritas (standard on the rocks) and Moscow mules. I never realized they were trendy right now, it just happens to be FH's favorite drink.

For ours we are doing beer, wine, and margaritas as the signature drink. However, our bartender has like 15 different margarita flavors to bring, so we will probably chose each a bride a groom margarita flavor.

I would pick a vodka or rum drink - most people prefer a clear liquor over a dark liquor. That's just my 2 cents!
