Signature drinks for Fall

Jessica, on August 24, 2017 at 1:42 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 16

Please help me pick two signature drinks... I'd love if they're fall themed!

Originally I wanted apple cider sangria (still want unless convinced of something better ) and pumpkin pie martini but my family thinks pumpkin pie sounds disgusting for a drink. I think it sounds delicious but I want to make sure I'm not just picking what I like.

I'm having a spiked mulled cider. I'm using a sweet dessert wine and adding it to mulled apple cider. It will be a warm drink. You could also do a mulled wine as well. Ask your caterer, they might have some suggestions.

I've made apple cider sangria before and it was delicious!

Are you having a full bar otherwise? The reason I ask is that though I think they're both tasty sounding options, but they're both sweet. It might be nice to have one sweet and one not so sweet... But, if there is the opportunity for guests to request other mixed drinks then you're probably fine.

I had apple cider sangria at a friend's fall wedding, and I literally kept ordering it all night because it was that good! So I say do that! You could also do a Pumpkin Spice White Russian

    ETA lol spelling

Hot Apple Pie would be a great mixed drink for a wedding - you can make a large batch to chill and serve. My friends used to make this and its SOOOOO good Smiley smile

I once had a Stella Cider with a shot of fireball with a cinnamon ring and it was the best damn fall drink I have ever had.

@Amanda has a great point with the open bar. I would try your signature drink, but if I did not like it, I would go to whatever I wanted with the open bar.

We're having hot apple cider given out pre-ceremony, so we're doing cranberry infused moscow mules as our sig drink.

We're doing a pear mojito, with an option to order it plain for people who don't like the taste of pears.)

Yes, we have an open bar.

These are all great points... While I'd drink the pumpkin pie martini at home, I guess it wouldn't be my first choice at a wedding-- too filling.

Anything with cider should be a crowd pleaser. I've seen pumpkin pie martinis and they do not look appetizing at all. It's like orange melted ice cream.

I've made the following apple pie sangria quite a bit and loved it. It might get too pricey for a signature drink though. The apples also tend to get pretty nasty if you add them to far ahead of time

1 bottle (standard size) of pinot grigio

2 1/2 cups fresh apple cider

    1 cup club soda

    1/2 cup ginger brandy

    3 honey crisp apples, chopped

    3 pears, chopped

    I've had delicious pumpkin pie

martinis but it is a heavy drink. We are going to have some sort of cranberry or pomegranate fizz as the "hers" signature cocktail. Rum & coke for "his" and a bourbon spiced apple for "ours"

I'm also doing apple cider sangria! I really wanted to do fall themed drinks but that's the only one I could find that I liked. Our other two signature drinks aren't fall themed at all.
