Sign language interpreter

One of are groomsmen is deaf and I’m looking to have a interpreter for our ceremony. His boyfriend is also a groomsman but i don't Want him to have to sign during the ceremony. Reception he is okay with. Thoughts and help on how to do that!

    Try seeing if there are any deaf facebook or social groups in your area that would have some advice on where to start.

    Also, this is an awesome idea!

    First, let me just say how wonderful you are for thinking of this...

    Depending where you are located, check with colleges. If they have an ASL program, an older student may do it for the experience on a resume (I have a minor in ASL, so I know i would have). Smiley smile Good luck!

    You may be able to find a service with a Google search. I'm not sure where you are but here we have students and an ASL organization that provides services as a volunteer or a small fee dependent on the length of time required. You might want to ask the groomsmen if they know of such an organization. Also, I think it is so sweet that you are concerned about everyone be able to enjoy your ceremony!

    Hey Tara! What a thoughtful idea!

    As Ivy&Kris mentioned, you could consider asking the groomsman if he is aware of any sign language interpreters in the area. He is probably aware of any local services that there are.
