Shutterfly Photobook

Taylor , on January 5, 2019 at 4:58 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 18
I’ve made a photobook on Shutterfly for which I plan to use as our guestbook, but I’m not sure which size to get. As of now I’ve picked the 12x12 size, with 23 pages and 200 guest list Is this too big?

*Also, if anyone happens to have any FREE Shutterfly photobook codes that they would like to share, I would greatly appreciate it! Lol *

Wait what does the guest list have to do with your book?

I got an 8x8 book and it think it’s perfect!
We invited 86 so I made a 30 page book. That’s 3 signatures per page I wanted to make sure there were enough pages.
I think 23 pages for 200 guests doesn’t seem like a lot. But I guess that’s 10(ish) signatures per page. So maybe you’ll be ok. If you have a free pages code I’d add a couple more to be safe

It’s 23 12x12 pages, so they would be bigger.. I’m just trying to figure out if the book will be too big though.

Oh sorry I missed where you said that in the post. Lol I thought it was for your wedding photos.
I made mine through them and I should have realized that's what you meant.

I did the 8.5x11 and it has 20 pages.
I did every set of pages like this so theres like 1.5 pages to sign then 2 whole pages. We have about 110 on our guest list but I think it will be plenty of room!

I don’t this it will be big, I was basically saying I would be afraid it’s not big enough.
If you did it like Chandra I think you’ll be fine. I did mine a little different, I guess hoping people take up more room/leave little notes none of our pages have lines

Those are really cute pages! The 12x12 seems a little big, but with 200 guests, you’ll need the room. I think the way you have it laid out now is great.

I ordered a 12x12 inch Shutterfly book when I made my wedding album. It is pretty big to store, I think. I would probably want a smaller sized guest book.

I wouldn’t expect all the guests to sign it so I think it’s fine.

I did my guestbook with the same type layout as yours. I did the 8x11 with 20 pages. I had 65 guests and had a ton of room left over. A lot of guests don’t sign the guest book. If you wanted to be safe you could add a few more pages but I don’t think you need a ton. Also, if you download the Shutterfly app you can get a free photo book a month, but it is the smaller size. You could get the free book and use the 50% off promo to get half off all of your upgrades.

Hi Araj! Thanks for your reply. So do you think the 12X12 is unnecessary? It’s 24 pages. And we have a guest list of about 200 guest possible more.

Oh and I downloaded the app. With the 12x12 price difference and the extra pages, it’s coming out to still be about $40 or so

I did the 11x14 for our wedding album and it’s huge. I think the number of pages is more important than the size of the book. That’s also where the price adds up. Our guest book was the 8x11 with the normal 20 pages and I had a ton left blank. It all depends on what you personally want though. The $40 is actually a good price. I paid $51 for the smaller album with 20 pages. I think out of our 65 guests maybe half actually signed the book. I don’t think you’ll run out of space and if you did I’m sure guests will sign the blank page at the end with the Shutterfly logo. It has a front and back. I think you should be good and the price is pretty good. It’s a really nice keepsake too because it has your pictures in it.

My only concern is storage— my bookshelves are small so wouldn’t easily fit a 12x12 🤣— so do consider what you’ll be doing with it after the big day!

Otherwise I think it’s plenty of space for guests to sign. People sign in odd ways so no matter what you do , you’ll probably end up with some empty pages and some very full pages haha
