Now that H and I have our pro pics, I've been compiling photo albums for our parents. We're using Shutterfly since their books seem to be top notch. We know our parents will both like leather covers and we'll also order lay-flat pages. But I haven't used Shutterfly before and I'm torn on what type of cover to order.
Here's my question: does anyone have experience with Shutterfly's "Leather Hard Cover with Die-Cut Window" ($70 for 12"x12") or the "Genuine Leather with Lay-Flat Pages" ($170 for 12"x12")?
In the first option, the die-cut window will give us a chance to have a picture on the front of the album. In the more expensive option, we'd get a plain leather cover that is hand-stitched. I'm wondering if there's a substantial difference in quality to justify the $100 price bump for the "genuine leather." Does the $70 option look chintzy? We don't mind spending the extra money, but just want to make sure it wouldn't be a waste.
