Shutterfly Guest Book?

Has anyone ordered a photo book from Shutterfly (or a similar company) for their guest book? I'm just wondering how well writing on the pages went. I'm sure a good ol' Sharpie will do the trick, but just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience?

I have one but didn't use it as a guest book. My friend did though and he definitely used sharpies for his. I think it was fine to use sharpies. Seemed like regular pens could have worked also

A friend had one at their wedding. They used sharpies. Pens would probably work, but might have that whole issue where they press to hard and leave dents in the pages.

Friend of mine did this - as long as it was a regular one and not one of the metallics or paint sharpie pens it was fine! The metallic ones and paint ones rubbed off and made a mess.

I used a Shutterfly album as our guest book and we used super fine sharpies for everyone to sign with. The only problem we had is that the sharpie has to dry a little before going to a different page. There were a few messages the smeared a little, but nothing too bad.

That's actually what I was leaning towards. I may test some different pens once I get it. I went ahead and ordered one and there will be the extra pages at the back! I'm excited for it to come in!
