Shower Postponed

Due to Hurricane Irma, my bridal shower had to be postponed. I'm in South Florida and have been without power since Sunday. The house where my shower is being held, is also without power. We were trying to find a new place, but it was so expensive. The new date will have to be the same weekend as my bachelorette party. Has anyone else had both the same day/weekend? I know it's a lot to ask my guests, but the other weekends weren't working out. Obviously I bummed, but I know things could be a lot worse.

    My sister had her bridal shower and bachelorette on the same weekend and the guests were elated caused they got to join in both festivities. Sorry to hear that happen to you, hopefully everything will work and your wedding day will be fantastic.

    There are quite a few old threads describing having a shower in the afternoon and bachelorette in the evening. It works particularly well if anyone is traveling for either or both.

    My shower/bach is still a ways out, but I have seen quite a few people do it this way intentionally. I think it's a bonus for any OOT guests that would attend both functions.

    Sorry your plans got screwed up, but I'm glad you have options!

    My bachelorette party was Saturday night with my shower on Sunday afternoon. I would suggest not doing that. I was so tired during the shower. If you can, do the shower Saturday afternoon and bachelorette Saturday night.

    I had mine on the same day! Shower in the morning and bachelorette in the evening. It was a long day but worth it

    I think it will work out with your new plan. I'm in south Florida too and just got my power back. I pray that you will get your power back soon!
