Shower and bachelorette party timeline

We are getting married on 3/17 and my mom set our wedding shower for either 2/10 or 2/24.

Not too sure about bach party.

Have it when you're available. My shower was about 7 weeks before my wedding and bachelorette was about 3 weeks before.

There really is no "timeline" for when to have it. I think within a couple months of your wedding is a good time to have both. My bachelorette was early August (mid-September wedding) and my shower was August 20 (a little less than a month before my wedding). I have been to bach parties/showers held in the same month as the wedding and have been to some held a few months before the wedding. It really just matters when you/the hosts/guests are available.

I'll be getting married in May, so my sister/MOH is planning my shower for March and bachelorette for April. I'm sure everyone does it a bit differently, but depending on what you'd like to do for your bachelorette, you could take advantage of the summer months if you want something beachy or outdoor activities.

Mine will be mid March, with a June wedding. I moved out of state and had limited weekend availability to come back, in combination with my sister's limited availability (she's hosting it), there was one option, so that decided it for us. My bachelorette will be in the evening after the shower.

Liz, just one thing. You're not supposed to plan your own bachelorette or shower. I would suggest a really light hand with being involved int he planning. Just a heads up.
