Show off your dresses!

This is the dress I went with! I ordered this from an online bridal shop after second guessing the one I bought locally. Pray for me that it fits!!!

My in person dress shopping experiences were wonderful! I felt like a princess, but never found anything that I felt like really fit me and my personality. My bridesmaids are all in different shades of red, so I wanted something extremely simple that kind of tied everything together, so shopping was kind of hard at local boutiques. But I absolutely loved how magical it felt to be in a gown!

This was the dress that I wanted but didn’t want to spend 4K lol so the one I fell in love with is similar to this style . I love ballgowns hahah

Here's mine. I actually planned on going with an a line, I thought a form fitting dress would make me look bigger. But I wanted to try on a little bit of everything to be sure. To my surprise I put this on and fell in love with it. It made me feel small lol and when I tried on an a line after this I was like nope this makes me feel fat now 🤣😂. I was so excited about how it made me feel I didn't even realize that it has a bunch of sparkles on it(you cant see in the pic) that I absolutely love 😍

Here's mine! In the end my decision was hard, since it came down to two dresses that everyone really liked. I still need to take it for alterations; that train is a lot longer than I was expecting to buy.

I absolutely love my dress! This was dress #7 at the first appointment. I could picture myself getting married in this dress plus I didn’t want to take it off! Even then I couldn’t commit to it. I had another appointment to get to & left. I went to the other appointment & tried on 5 other dresses. All 5 I compared to this dress. That’s when I knew I’d found it!

My dress experience at the first 2 stores I went to weren't great. The first store (BHLDN) had over 100 dresses on their online site, but carried maybe 30 dresses in-store to try on. So half of the dresses I wanted to look at, weren't available. The consultant was knowledgeable, but not very bubbly or personable. The second store (Atlanta Street Bridal) was okay, but the consultant kept pulling dresses that were pretty much the same as the ones I had already told her I didn't like. She was very nice, but I didn't feel like she listened to mine or my guests' opinions. The third store where I found my dresses (Carrie's Bridal Collection) was awesome! The consultants were so friendly and had such great energy! She knew exactly how to pin the dresses so I'd get a near accurate look at how they'd fit after alterations. They were very affordable, and I actually came out with TWO dresses while still saying under budget! I didn't have a 'wow' moment or cried, so don't feel like you're failing if you don't have that moment either.

My advice is to def. voice your opinions and let your consultant know what you do and don't like, but still have an open mind. I would have never gotten my reception dress if I refused to trust my consultant. Bring any inspo pictures you have to help them as well! If you have a firm budget, stick with it and voice that as well! Most importantly, HAVE FUN!

And thank you so much for the info! I actually found a dress that I adore on my first shopping trip, but it was nearly double what I thought we’d spend on my dress! I think I will take photos of me in it along to the shopping trip, and compare the dresses I try on to it and see if any beat it

Here is mine!
I ordered it online on Etsy without trying it on. In fact I did not try in any wedding dresses in person ever.
The second I saw this in photos I knew it was the one. So risky but totally worth it, don’t regret my choice at all! Still working on alterations!

My dress ! Buying this dress was a bit of a risk since the sample size I tried on was ridiculously small so I had no idea how it it would actually fit me. I’m so happy I chose this dress though, I love that it’s not pure white and the sleeves will be perfect for my outdoor October wedding. The top is way to big on me so we still need to get that fitted but I’m so excited to wear it.

Have to figure out the bustle situation on my dress but I found mine the first dress appointment I had.
