I just love these glasses I scored for $0.99/ea! I'm on the lookout for a cake server but haven't found it yet. Show me what y'all have found for a steal!

My bra. Seriously, it was just sitting there, looking totally unused, in my size, at the Salvation Army thrift store.

Wine decanter used for the blessing over wine.

Some of our mismatched coffee and tea cups.

We also got these, which we had planned to use as toasting flutes. However, when they time came, we just decided to use the plastic champagne glasses everyone else used.

I found the wicker baskets we're using for "bathroom" baskets (think hairspray, lotions, tampons and whatnot) for .49 at a thrift store! I was super excited because they look new!

I do A LOT of thrift store shopping. Luckily for me I live in an area where there is literally 10 different thrift stores within a 20 mile radius.

My sister in law bought her dress at St. Vincent for $50 and only had to have it cleaned and taken in.

For our wedding we did buy the flower girl baskets from there and I did find the flutes for our best man and maid of honor. Each cup said best man and maid of honor on them and they were heavy glass in the box with the party city price on them of $39.99 and I paid $2 for them. Can't beat that. I also bought our guest book from there, new for .99 and our glass bowls and rocks for our centerpieces from the dollar tree.

After the reception we allowed our guests to take home the centerpieces because we didn't want to lug them home and have the flowers rot anyways, so why would we pay top dollar to throw the stuff out anyways.

So many good finds out there if you are willing to take the time and look.

We were planning on getting the hard plastic plates that look like real china...the white ones with a silver band around the edges..at several stores they are sold for about $79.99 for 104 plates 9". and $45.00 for the 7" dessert plates

well last week as I'm walking through the dollar tree store, I see the exact same plates for 1/2 the price {104 for $35.00} I was in total shock! There is a slight difference....the dollar store plates are a little softer plastic, but still hard! And looks exactly the same. I was so shocked I took pictures and sent to my fiance' asking if they really do look the same, LOL

...so now I know where my plates will come from,

    That's awesome!!

I'm off checking out Genevieve's link to BravoBride.com and wondering what other sites there are like it & recycledbride.com that I don't know about yet?

Ednabugg I checked out some plates from smartyhadaparty.com but it never dawned on me to check Dollar Tree for plates! Good work!

Orientaltrading.com had plates a little cheaper than, smartyhadaparty....but yes, I'm thrilled about this dollar store plates. LOL, they come in packs of 15 for the small ones and 8 for the big ones...but when you do the math, the difference in price is crazy...I will have to take a picture and post it

I just watched a show for the first time, Don't Tell The Bride, on Oprah's network, has anyone seen it? They separate the bride & groom for 3 weeks & the groom has to plan the whole wedding with his best man, even down to the dress & bachelorette party --- aww heck naw!!! Has anyone else seen it? Dude got stressed about the budget & went out and got a tattoo with wedding money. smh

    Nice!

FH & I are trying to set the official date of our elope-ish wedding, and one of them is 12/31/11. I even found a hotel that charges a normal rate instead of an astronomical New Years rate. If FH & I can get it together, we might be date twins!
