I'm beginning to think about how I would like my nails to look on the big day. I want to go for the elegant, but subtle look. I attached a picture of what I may do. Please share your inspiration picture or the style you decided on. Thanks!

As a person who keeps my nails done and has had every type of art and shape and length and technique... The best thing you can do is find "The One" find a nail artist via Yelp or Google reviews who has ratings and photos. Make sure he or she listens to what you want and doesn't hesitate. The prep work on the bed of the nail should not hurt or burn. Speak up. They only need to rough up the surface for the product to stick. If you get acrylic or dipping powder, it should never be uneven, too thick or lumpy. From the side, it should look like it's growing right out of your nail bed. No "gap" Michelle K's look great for longer nails. Those are not for the faint of heart. If you're not used to length, just keep them short for your day. Totally classy and acceptable. I think this falls into the "you but better" camp. I normally wear mine long and brightly colored, so I'll do something cool and unique for my wedding. But that doesn't mean I don't love those nudes and pinks! Have fun with it and go a few times before your wedding. Don't go cheap. In the Dallas area, a good set starts at $35 or $40, and adds on for art, rhinestones, length, and special shapes.

PS- If you're in or near Dallas, TX - I've got THE artist for you!! She's amazing.

Unfortunately I don't have a pic, but I wasn't too happy with mine. I wanted a French with the top part slightly glittery. They used this polish that looked pretty but the glitter pieces were too big and looked super awkward. I felt terrible but I asked them to redo it. I just didn't wanna hate my nails in all the photos. So, moral of the story, if you want glitter check the glitter size. Haha

I wanted subtle but with a little sparkle, even though I'm not normally a sparkle person. I really liked how this color came out!

The color isn't accurate-they were a pale pink-phone quality stinks. I love the "I do" with small gem on the ring ringer. On the opposite hand I had a small heart on the ring finger. Loved them!
