Show me your moissanites!

Syd D. S., on April 30, 2017 at 10:32 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 25

FH and I have been having a lot of heart-to-heart conversations lately, about us and our future. We've decided to go to premarital counseling, which I know will be so helpful for us.

While we've been having some serious, honest discussion, I finally brought up to him that I don't like my engagement ring. (Some of you will remember my original post about that). He was SO kind and sweet about it, and I kicked myself for thinking he would have a negative reaction. He was so glad I was honest and up front with him--and he actually admitted he felt the same way about my ring when he saw it.

We're thinking about doing a moissanite ring. I think they're so beautiful and we can get a stunning ring while still staying in our budget.

Anyone here have a moissanite? I want to see pictures and know where you got it!

    My FH had this custom made. He found a jewelry designer on Etsy and they got the stone from Charles and Colvard. I absolutely love it! It looks so clear all of the time and I always get tons of compliments on it!

    I absolutely love my moissanite! I personally didn't want a diamond and considered a couple different stones before deciding on a moissanite.

    I love how sparkly they all are. *heart eyes*

    @K.M @Olivia, do you mind if I ask what size mm your stones are? I'm trying to get a good frame of reference, since they're measured differently than carats.

    If I remember correctly mine was either 6 or 7mm.

    And I know! The sparkle is amazing. My best friend was obsessed with getting a diamond (she got engaged about a year before me) and she even comments on how much it sparkles when the light hits it.

    My engagement ring is an heirloom. But my band is moissanite from TwoBirch. Definitely recommend checking them out! They frequently have sales and discounts.

    My oval Charles and Colvard moissanite inside of my mother's diamond ring guard. I am hoping to have one customized just like hers!

    Mine's a moissanite! We got the center stone online from Do Amore. We got the halo moissanite's from the jewelry store that we got the ring custom made from in Pensacola FL.

    So pretty @Anna! I have my eyes on a similar ring on Etsy. I'm just so nervous to order a ring online. That's what we did the first time, and it didn't work out in our favor, as stated above!

    @Sydney We went to multiple jewelry stores and the chains weren't seeming like good options for us but finally found a local store that would do what we wanted. The band is yellow gold but the halo setting is white gold. Maybe try Do Amore, they're a really good and ethical company!

    I have a rose gold and moissanite promise ring. I will say one time I forgot to wear gloves while tie-dying and accidentally tinted the stone blue. But it washed off eventually. Of course that was my fault! Lol

    I remember your PP and I'm so happy to hear this update. I'm a big moissanite supporter. FH got my cushion cut 6x6mm and I love it.

    @Renee that is GORGEOUS!
