My dress was from David's Bridal $849 plus $695 for alterations in the Northern VA area. My dress is called a trumpet style, but I think it looks more A-line. Just as a warning, lace dresses are EXPENSIVE to hem!!!! My alterations were way more expensive then I thought they would be. The scalloped lace on the bottom and beaded detail made it a lot more work. The seamstress has to cut the bottom of the dress off, adjust the length, and reattach the bottom. Alterations are almost as much as the dress. If I would have know how much the alterations were going to be, it might have changed my mind on the dress choice. Good luck shopping!! It's a lot of fun

Sorry I don't have a pic of my dress on my computer but my trumpet style is very tight until it hit the knee area. Almost like a fit and flare (I think they just name dresses whatever they want lol). But I had to really shop around for alterations due to my dress being lace. Most people would not touch it regarding changing the style (I wanted the sleeves cut off). So I feel your pain! Alterations are super tricky with lace.

Left is my unaltered dress (too big) that just came in. Right is when I bought it back in December. I’m in Colorado. It’s a Justin Alexander. $1800 gift from my mom.

My dress was a Lazaro gown. I got it used, on Tradesy.com for I think $1100 or $1500, something like that, which included a matching veil (that I didn't end up wearing). I do bridal alterations, so I did my own (letting out/fixing the bodice a bit after the previous owner had it taken in; adding straps; & bustling).
