Sooo pretty. I love the pattern of the lace. This is mine! Of course I fell literally right in between 2 sample sizes so I had a difficult time picturing it actually altered to me. But in the end, I kept going back to it and that’s how I knew it was the one.
So this is my dress after A LOT of searching and paying for rush delivery. Its suppose to be here in early August, my wedding is Sept 18. This picture shows a ivory and blush dress but mine will be all ivory. I am only 5'5 so after its hemmed I will use the extra chiffon to make the cap sleeves and I will have buttons added so I can bustle the dress after the wedding.
BTW is there a way to bustle a dress without alterations? The seamstress I talked to said that its going to run me 600 to 850?! That seems very expensive for a hem, little sleeves and buttons! I live in the Los Angeles area. If you can recommend a seamstress that would be great. I am really hoping the wedding will still happen. My fiancee seems to think we might not be getting married this year
I'm also in LA and I went to A Stitch In Time in Brentwood for alterations. I paid $650 for it to be taken in, hemmed, bustled, and have the flare point raised (a little complicated since it's an all lace dress). Honestly though, after reading so many alteration horror stories on here, I think it was totally worth it. Olivia has been great, service is one-on-one, and I've never felt rushed. Traffic getting there on a weekday is insane though.
