Show me your corset back with sash/belt!

Mrs., on October 25, 2014 at 9:01 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

My dress is a corset back, but with the sash (which I feel my dress really needs!) the way it ties looks really dumb to me because it overlaps my lace up back,

Should i get my sash sewn to my dress? Or is there another alternative?

What I did was have my sash tacked to the side seams of my dress which allowed it to stay up infront and allowed my girls to tie it down low in the back so it didn't cover much but the very bottom of my laces, which no one would have really seen anyways. The only thing I didn't like - my sash was made of heavy material and no matter how they tied it, it wouldn't stay in a "nice" bow, it kept going floppy. I eventually gave up on it haha.

    I like this!

I think I might have to get a different sash sadly- mine almost seems too thin. The ribbon for the sash is the same size as the ribbon for my corset.

I might have some playing around to do Smiley smile

    Thanks for the tip though!

I had mine sewn into my dress (they took the applique off the ribbon and are attaching it directly to the dress) so that there isn't a sash/bow in the back. The material of the sash/belt didn't match the material on my dress and it looked silly.

@Soon2bMrsLee I'm considering this as well. Might have to take everything to my tailor and see what they can do Smiley smile
