I love seeing these dresses on you ladies! I've yet to go dress shopping and I love (in pictures) mermaid style gowns, but I'm nervous about how it'll look on me and my figure (I've got some HIPS ha ha), so it's nice seeing them on all sorts of body types!

Here's mine! Not a very good picture, I was clipped in the back. First fitting was a month ago, and can't wait for the second fitting to see what it looks and feels like when it actually fits!

Loved mine! Kylie, by Maggie Sottero. It was more of an A-line when I purchased, but I had it modified to be more fitted.

I was really scared about getting a mermaid (although this is the only dress that caught my eye in hours of internet browsing) because I have massive hips. I specifically went to the store to try this dress on, and the consultant asked if I'd like to try anything else. I asked if there was another shape that would be more flattering on me, and she looked at me like I'd grown a third eye and said that mermaid is definitely the best shape for curvy girls.

Don't be afraid of the mermaid... I've seen pics of real-life big beautiful women totally ROCK them!

LOVE mine and can't wait to wear her in a little over 2 weeks!
