Should my stepdaughters have different dresses from my other bridesmaids?

I would take into account your wedding party. Are you having a maid(s) of honor? If so, will it be your daughters? If your daughters are your MOHs, then I think having them in a different dress (or even a different color of the same dress -maybe a few shades darker or lighter than the other dresses) would work out great! However, if you plan to have a MOH that isn't your daughters, it may make your MOH feel less "special" that they are in the same dress as the BMs.

Thank you for your feedback. I will consider this. My MOH is my cousin, so she may feel less special that she is wearing the same dress as the other BMs. I gave my BMs three dress styles to choose from based on their different body physiques ( the dresses are same fabric/ color).

I don't like ranking either so much that I even considered not having a MOH bc I felt like my BMs were equally special.

Mix-matched dresses have become so much more popular. I love the idea of having everyone choose a dress within a certain color scheme or palette. The added bonus of having people choose their own dresses is that they can wear them again!
