Should my bustle look like this?

I just got my final alterations back from the seamstress after we totally modified the shape of my dress (was originally a-line), and I LOVE how the bustle looks from the back, but it sticks out a little on the sides from the front (just below my hands). Is that normal? Seamstress said it's supposed to look like that, but idk. Thanks for any and all help!!

Hmmmm I don't know. I see what you mean about it sticking out. It kind of looks like it's too high up in the back maybe? I'm no dress expert, but that would bug me too.

Your dress is beautiful with or without bustle. Ask her to fix it. I can see that it flares out on the sides some.

Whether it's supposed to be like that or not, if you don't like it, ask her to change it.

I don't think it's supposed to look like that. I had a very layered ballgown, but my bustle looked as though there was nothing altered - it looked like the dress was designed that way. I'm sure with your dress that isn't quite possible, but I find it unlikely that it's supposed to stick out like that!

I don't think it's supposed to look like that. Every bustle I've seen it looks normal from the front still. That would bug the heck out of me. If you don't like it, ask her to change it!

I agree it looks odd. I'm no seamstress, but I think it's better you work with her to come up with a way to fix it rather than just accept it and not like it. Beautiful dress otherwise!

Nope. Try a different style bustle. That isn't working.
