So I've recently gotten my dress ($35 from F21!!!) But I'm torn between wearing a veil or not - since its so structured I dont want to take away from the beauty of it, BUT I think I would feel most "bridal" with one. I was thinking a modest waltz or floor length horsehair trim kind of deal, but I'm lost and dont think I could try one on in store since I've already bought my off the rack dress. Any ideas or thoughts on it?? Thanks!

Thanks, I kind of replied to you comment in another post on accident but I think I will go in store and try a few and if I find one, jump on Amazon and find a steal!

    Screenshots are sometimes easier.

Warning though, if you are trying to keep the dress a surprise, it might spoil it. The pictures are broadcasted in the app. I can't post my dress on the app because it hurt fiance if the surprise was spoiled. He wants to be surprised when he sees me walking down the aisle. I kinda don't care about the surprise aspect but I care about him and his feelings.

My guy actually helped me pick the dress out. We were going to elope, but instead decided to have a wedding after his grandma got sick (she got better so we kept what we had already planned and pushed it a year while I started my business). Also, he is so over wedding stuff, he wouldnt be on here anyway!! 😂

I would forego the veil and opt for a tiara, wreath, or a nice hairpin.

    Love your dress!

    LOVE!!!

Definitely wear a veil. Either birdcage or go all the way cathedral.

Would rather go cathedral than birdcage BUT I'm keeping an open mind and will follow up tomorrow!

Maybe a sparkly headband or other hairpiece to give you that special-day feeling without taking away from the dress?

Hi! LOVE your gown!! Very dramatic. I'm a veil designer. A simple cathederal veil would be gorgeous with your gown. Nothing like a cathederal veil to give you that wonderful bridal feel. Plus, when in your entire life would you have a chance to wear another long veil? Something to think about!! I love birdcages, but I wear them alot just when I go to church or out to tea. Best of luck!! ❤

What about a birdcage? Your dress is so stunning and architectural, I’m wondering if a veil would be too flowy?

I agree with PPs here that a birdcage veil/headpiece may be the best style fit for this dress. The dress is so unique with its structure and shape. You don't want a traditional veil to overshadow the dress. Good luck!!

So to all inquiring kinds, I went Saturday to try on veils and figured out that im going to go with a very simple horsehair trim cathedral veil! It just gave the whole look another layer of drama and since we are wiring the hem of my dress train to give it that same body and movement, it's gonna be perfect.

And this is no shade towards the birdcage champions - I tried it on and it just wasn't me. Especially since I'm wearing my hair identical to how it is in the pictures. Thank you all!
