I don't know how things are like for where you're at.

are you able to spread households spaciously at your venue?

It is a family friends property and is really big so we can spread tables out. We are planning on dancing but will encourage distancing. The wedding will be held near Fresno California, with some guests from the area but some from other areas of Cali. I myself about 25 of our friends are from the Bay Area.

Hello Haley! I'm a CA bride as well, getting married on 10/10. I think it totally depends on the county you are getting married in. The governor just announced several counties that had to toggle back on their reopening phases, and I think Fresno county is one of them. I keep track of this website everyday to get updates, I hope it helps you out too:

Hopefully, if we can get our cases lowered, you should be fine by September. But also since your wedding will be on a family friend's property, it will be up to you to police your own guests, encourage masks, social distance, etc. I honestly think 150 people might be too much, at this point, I would cut it down if you can, but who knows by September. What are your other vendors, like the caterer, thinking? Do you have a wedding planner that can help advise you?

Hi! My fiancé and I are in CA too, and I wouldn’t be comfortable having or attending an 150 person event right now. Marisa has shared an awesome link! I would use that, and make plans to lower the guest list for now. You can still have a large party when this is over!

I’d say if you are able to move forward with it, do it! Tomorrow is never promised, no one knows what next year will hold, and I can’t even imagine the stress of postponing for another year. This is just my opinion and I know that people who have postponed again have done so because they felt it was the best choice for them, but I just couldn’t be engaged another year. We’re doing this thing in August, no matter what! Best wishes to you as you think things over and make your decision. It’s not easy! 💕
