Should I start seating chart before I receive RSVPs??

I did a rought draft with my guest list simply bc we are doing a smallish wedding. I only invited ppl that i really felt would actaully want to come and make the trip...also only ppl i really wanted there. I'm sure i will still wnd up revising a few times.

Obviously, I'm sure you will need to edit it but if you want to start now, go for it! Sometimes it's fun to wedding plan, just to think about your big day. I'm sure there are people, like family and close friends, you have already spoken to who have confirmed they will be there. Find an easy to use seating chart tool, like the one on this website.

You could come up with a plan and start gathering materials but I wouldn't start actually writing names out until you have RSVP's in hand.

I did ours in Excel and just cut and pasted and moved people around, in tables of 8-10.

We used online responses, through our wedding website, and all but 2 guests responded 10 days before our due date. We could pretty much guess who would definitely attend and who would definitely not, like the cousin who didn't go to anyone's wedding, after she had her own. (We only had a 10% decline rate).

I did already.... using the WW seating chart because I know me and my OCD about certain things this being one of them.... I had to get started.... If/when I have to change things that will be fine.... the WW seating chart is soooooo easy to work with it will be a breeze....

But this is me....

Great question. It would be nice to get this part done but knowing it will change!
