Should i send new Save the dates?

Janieva, on May 1, 2021 at 11:17 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

Hello! My wedding was planned for November 2020. We sent out our save the dates right before lockdown (March 2020) because my family is from out of state and needed advanced notice for the date. We ended up postponing our wedding in July 2020 and sent out change the date cards around that time. It's been almost a year and I was wondering if it would beneficial to send out new save the dates for our new date, November 2021. I've updated our website and everything but I know our out of state guests aren't as tech savvy and I want to make sure they have enough time to plan. Any thoughts or advice on this?

Yes because the prior events never happened. It’s a new event so new save the dates should be sent. If cost is an issue, get on the phone with everyone and let them know the new date/location.

I don’t think it’s necessary because you sent Change the Date cards, which essentially told all guests to save the new date.

Did your change the date cards have the new date on them?

I sent "Change the Dates" out last year as soon as we postponed. We were supposed to get married Sept 2020, but now Aug 2021
