Should i line the side panels of my dress?

Lined! More cohesive silhouette. Lovely lace & style!

I like it lined. But I have a more modest taste.

I love that dress and tried on one with a similar silhouette but it was also not lined around the stomach. I agree that it should be lined and I personally wish I had brought that up regarding the dress I had tried on that was similar.

I vote for line 10 times out of 10. It makes the dress more cohesive and I think modesty is a plus.

Yes I agree with everyone else, I would line it. It’s very pretty.

I don’t know....I hate to be the outlier, but, I think (at least part of) the whole point behind that dress is its midsection. It’s different, and pretty, and has a bit of pizzazz without really being immodest. And it looks great on you.

That said, it’s a beautiful dress either way, so do whatever is going to make YOU feel beautiful in it!!!

I like it either way. I get the whole modesty and getting it lined, but I think it looks great without the lining too.

Thanks all! I am definitely most concerned about whether leaving it unlined cuts me off and makes me look wider or whether it helps define my shape. I typically would err on the side of modesty, but the panels are translucent, not see-through, and I’m certain that our crowd wouldn’t be offended by a little skin.

They both look beautiful, but I actually prefer the unlined. I get what people are saying about modesty, but it’s the sides of your stomach, so I don’t see the issue. If it was low or unlined up top, I would understand.

I love that dress! I tried it on when I went shopping, and it was my “runner up” dress. I vote unlined. The side cutouts were one of my favorite parts about the dress. I like the shape they create. Also, the dress looks lovely on you!

I think I like the lined more personally, but with the lace on the back, I think I liked would flow great and look beautiful as well!
As far as being concerned about shape, I don’t think it makes you look wider necessarily, but it does bring a little more attention to your hips (which is not a bad thing at all!)
