We had an unplugged ceremony and of course, no one listened and a few people took pictures and posted them on social media. Husband and I don’t post often but we thought we deserved to be the first ones to post anything about our wedding. We didn’t even announce our engagement online. We just called and texted friends/family. Anyhoo, we arranged to take pictures with guests during cocktail hour by the water. I was thinking of giving our a copy to those who took pictures with us. I originally wanted to send some pics to the wedding party but I’m thinking no. One of the flower girls moms “missed” the memo of the unplugged ceremony and you’ll see her in our wedding pictures front row with her cell phone taking pictures. Also, people in our family are CRAZY and entitled about pictures. We made books for our parents but I’m scared certain aunts would be so entitled to demand certain pictures :/
It is in our contract that it is our responsibility to give credit to the photographer when we post online- it’s a copyright thing. If we were to give a copy of the guest pictures, I was thinking of writing a statement, “Due to copyright and per contract, the photographer kindly asks guests not to post any pictures of the prints. Thank you.”
