Should i get extra dinnerware?

Tori & Chuck Curry, on January 13, 2020 at 1:18 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4

We are having a barn wedding and going for a BBQ Buffet (yummm!). Our Caterer's rentals are so expensive so I opted to find linens/heavy plastic dinnerware online to buy for much cheaper and possible to sell after to get money back. Our wedding size will be 100. Im not sure if we should get extra dinnerware (plates and silverware specifically), in case of, Im not even sure what for, it just feels like we should have extra, not because we will have extra people but because it just feels like it...

Has anyone bought their dinnerware themselves, did you buy extra in case?

We purchased our dinnerware and bought extras. You can look into webstaurant.com and linentablecloth.com for what you are looking for.

I would definitely have extras. What if people drop their plate or want to go up for seconds?

I agree, I'd definitely order more than your guest count. And, I agree if you/your caterer expects some guests might return for seconds, they will definitely need a second plate (I think in some locations it's a Health Code violation to reuse...).

We're doing heavy plastic dinnerware and ordered quite a bit extra just in case!
