Should I get a spray tan?

Mrs., on August 7, 2017 at 5:02 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14

I get married this Saturday 8/12 (yes, I know my date is wrong). Should I get a spray tan or not? I will be wearing my hair up for the wedding. If I were to do it I would go to a girl who sprays it on herself, not a machine.

Thanks!!

I just got a spray tan for my shower, and I had the worst experience. It started peeling and looking bad (orangish brown color), & I got it 2 days before my shower. Not saying you would necessarily have the same experience, but do you have a backup plan if the spray tan doesn't turn out well? That's my biggest fear & I'm glad I tried it before my wedding day, because now I know I'm not doing a spray tan for my wedding!

However with your tan lines I'd say yes, just so everything is even

I say yes. The person will be able to fill in the tan lines.

If you're gonna do it, have it done Wed or Thurs especially if you've never done it before. Don't wait until the day before.

BTW, we've got 5 days to go!!!

Have you done it before? I tried it once (was sprayed on by the tech) and it was splotchy on me. I also have a friend who's skin didn't take well to it. It works great for some and not so much for others. Not something I would try the first time before my wedding. If you've had success with it before, then yes I would do it to cover your tan lines.

Read reviews for a place close to you, yelp usually is a good resource for that. I know friends where it looked amazing on them. I've been torturing myself all summer wearing strapless tops everywhere so my tan lines wouldn't be an issue. 4 more days & I'll never wear strapless again lol

Read all of the reviews for an airbrush artist in your general area. I personally commute 35 mins to go to a girl I trust. When an airbrush looks bad it looks BAD. You wanna go somewhere good.

With tan lines like that you may want to. You could also even have her do JUST your back if you were worried about doing your whole bod.

Like someone else said, go 2 days before your wedding.

Because of the tan lines, I would. Make sure you follow all of the directions-- I've never had a problem with spray tan.

I've had quite a few spray tans and all from machines. I've never had an issue but I know a lot of people who have had issues from getting it done by a person. I know that's an unpopular opinion but just my experience.

Honestly I don't think your tan lines are severe enough to warrant a spray tan that could possibly come out bad or look unnatural with so little time left. I wouldn't. But I personally don't like any kind of fake tan on anyone, so if you do then go for it.

Is that a runners tan? I have a similar tan line from my sports bra and am getting sprayed just to even it out.

I remember the days of swimmers tanlines!

I would get a spray tan, but it's really up to you. If your tanlines bother you, then spray it out... or ask your photographer if that is something they can do. Hopefully you've had a spray tan with this person before so you know what to expect as far as downtime and maintenance!
