Should i cancel?

Jackie, on March 6, 2020 at 11:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
Trying to get some input. My wedding is 3 months away and I have just about everything booked except for a caterer and the caterer I’ve been dealing with has been giving me a rough time. My dress may not be in in time because of the corona virus and my wedding party is basically acting like they don’t want to have anything to do with the wedding. Though about just cancelling the wedding and have a very small get together my my parents back yard with immediate family. I would only be loosing out on about 3500 dollars. I haven’t had everything fully paid for yet but thought I would get some suggestions about if this would be a good idea or not. I’m just tired of being stressed out at this point and don’t know what to do

I would hate for you to regret changing your plans and not having the wedding you dreamed of.

I think bridesmaids not caring that much is kind of common unfortunately, I wouldn't let this deter you. Your dress not coming in in time is an issue, I would find a plan b. I think you could totally find a caterer in the time that you need. Keep looking!

    Hello
That will be alot of money down the drain. I would not cancel however if bridesmaids feel as if they dont want to be involve you don't need bridesmaids in weddings these days. You can check in to see what's what but its about you and you shouldn't have to run after ppl. As far as your dress maybe finding another at lower price however contacting the store /company and see what they can do to maybe give you some money back bc this situation of this. corona virus is out of your hands.
    Good luck

Great advice! I have my seamstress making my reception dress but just in case I don’t like the fit. I have a back up dress. As brides we are the only ones as excited for our big day 🤷🏽‍♀️

You are right about the extra bridesmaids. I only have two. And my wedding party is a max of 60 ppl. This includes vendors/ help and my guests. I refuse to go over that number.

I'd look at a back up dress. Asos is great and fast. If they dont want to be in it, then just do it without. I'm only having 2. 2 groomswomen and that's it

Wait another month. do not cancel. prepare as if you are moving forward, and make the proper accomodations. there is too much uncertainty at the moment.

Do not cancel! If they don’t want to do anything then maybe they shouldn’t be in the bridal party. Only need one to be a witness for you. Look for a back up dress. If anyone causing you trouble for your big day kick them out. Byeeeee planning a wedding is streeful enough to have people drag you down is ridiculous. Girl you got this. Don’t let anyone ruin your big day or lose out on money. I hit a lot of bumps planning too and nothing going to stop me from having my wedding of my dreams !
