Should i be planning a wedding for early April next year?

I have to admit that I’m wondering if brides will be in a similar position next year and have to postpone since a vaccine for the virus is not set until 18mo. from now. How is everyone else handling future planning??😥

I probably won't do that until Oct...which will be my birthday month (so I can really feel the celebration in it all). I did however, look into the styles of dresses that I like so when I go shopping for one, I know the cut and style I want.
It's so hard, but we must keep pressing...every one is so unsure in times like these, I feel like we are in the twilight zone but we must remain healthy, prayerful and keep planning our weddings! Don't put too much money into it right now, just your deposits on venues, or big ticket items that you must compete for your wedding date! When we get from out of this vendors will be fighting for our business.

I think digital will be best. I think I’ll follow a similar plan. Thank you so much.

    Hello ladies!

So our plans is to wed on 2/20/20. We just started planning so I guess we still have a good amount of time to change anything if things don't change within the next couple months. We are staying very positive about things being better by then as we have a destination wedding but we are making sure to have a disclosure/policy in place for any future unforeseen events. I say continue planning and make sure you cover all parts of wedding planning to protect your spending. Best wishes to everyone, stay safe, and bride on!

I actually started thinking the same thing yesterday. My sister had to postpone her April wedding to August, but even then I’ve read about Fall 2020 brides thinking of postponing.

My wedding is 6/12/21, and I’m continuing to plan. My biggest concern is dress fittings and food tasting that can’t be done without things opening back up.

You should start. At least you’ll have all of your vendors out of the way. Go through all contracts with a fine tooth comb and ask about circumstances like these ahead of time. Good luck and happy planning!

Planning any event shouldn’t be done without some type of Plan B because nothing is perfect or promised (COVID-19 is a prime example). So definitely start planning but have an alternative in mind to avoid last minute stress.

Yes those are my concerns as well. I’m considering moving it from April 2021 to June 2021.

I’ve been talking to my fiancé and I’m hearing that this might end up being a seasonal thing... we might just elope. We haven’t sent anything out yet but we shall see once November comes by.... I’m okay with eloping and having a small reception or vow renewal whenever. I just don’t want to put any money down without being more certain.
I think guests will also be hesitant to RSVP...
