I literally started out my dress search by saying “I’m open to anything but a ballgown”. Well my family made me try on a ballgown and I LOVED it so much. My biggest concern is my height! I went in saying the same thing! I'm 5' and said "no ball gowns" (because every dress shopping guide says to avoid them if you're petite). I was so anxious dress shopping, but ended up falling in love with this one at David's Bridal I love the back!

Thank you! It was a near perfect fit other than waist and obviously the length, but I have lost some weight up top and can't wait to get it altered because now i'm drowning a bit!!

I'm more like 5'4, but this is my ballgown! I think toy just have to pay attention to how wide the dress is.

If you love it, get it. If any dress seems too poofy you can probably take out a layer of crinoline! 👍

I'm 5ft as well. I had a ballgown the first time around. It was not my 1st choice but my 5th. I don't have a picture on this computer but I will say, I felt like the dress was trying to swallow me. I felt like I couldn't be seen for the dress. It was so full in the skirt, I accidentally yanked a nightlight out of the outlet when I went down the hallway.

I look like a cupcake in a big ballgown I'm also short I'm 5'1" and I think ballgowns would look like its swallowing me. Plus the last ballgown I wore was at my senior prom and that was 17 years ago Wow that seems so forever ago!
