Shopping on Wish

Dana, on September 1, 2019 at 5:01 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 9

Hey all! Anybody purchase anything for your wedding from Wish? My family keeps telling me to check it out, but some of the stuff seems to good to be true. If you have purchased anything please include some photos, or tell me about the products quality. Thanks!!

There are some things to worry about like I've bought shirts pants & some are really cheap looking but some are pretty good, I bought 2 veils there the first one was really pretty but a but stiff & the second one is super beautiful but it's too white so I'll have to dye it, but I always shop in there lol & if you dont like it you can tell customer service & they will refund you your money

I got suspenders/bow ties for my ring beaters from Wish! They were really cheap & good quality! The only other wedding thing I got was a Mr. & Mrs. sign. It was cheap and nice but was a lot smaller than I was expecting (but we’re still happy with it). Just make sure you read reviews of the products & pay attention to the shipping time because some things take a month to deliver!

Most of the stuff i’ve gotten on wish is crap to be honest. it’s always such a gamble on if things will be good quality or not. i would just say be careful.

I think you just have to be smart- read reviews, pay attention to the descriptions, and if it seems to good to be true then it probably is. I got a wallet that I LOVE there for like $7. Great quality, arrived with a lovely jasmine scent packet in it and has held up perfectly. I made sure the seller and product had great reviews.

I wouldn't trust my dress or anything important, but I'd gamble a veil for the right price ($10 and months to waste? Sure, if it doesn't work then I'll get a better one and find a project for the other one, maybe bach party or something.) Things like paper goods (envelopes, gift boxes, etc.) Or accessories (hair stuff, bow ties, cuff links, socks, etc.) Even small stuff like decor, photo booth props, etc. These would be fine.

It’s very hit and miss. And since it comes from China it takes forever to get here. I would say trying it out with some minor detail stuff (like decor, rose petals, etc) that are replaceable and easy to get.

I haven't used Wish for my wedding but that is because I deleted the app after two terrible experiences. I have bought a few smaller, cheaper items from them and been thrilled since I had low expectations, but too much of their stuff is shoddy and poorly made. The big ticket items didn't even come, I had to fight for refunds. The median stuff was pretty hit or miss. It's a buyer beware situation in my opinion.

Decorations and jewelery are ok, but I wouldn't buy the clothes. And be careful of the shipping dates.
