Shoes/plantar fasciitis

FutureBrewer, on February 25, 2018 at 12:28 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
Hey all,

So I've been searching for shoes for the big day. The problem is, I have really bad plantar fasciitis and pretty much anything besides my orthopedic sneakers are painful after a short bit. My FH is very against the look of wedding sneakers - I'm not the biggest fan either but I don't want to be in pain all day. Does anyone know of any pretty, arch supportive shoes?? Even a quality nude shoe is fine by me at this point.

TIA!

There’s a brand Vionic that has high arch support. I wear their shoes and they’re the only ones that are comfortable for me. They have everything from sandals to dress shoes and boots

I would do whatever the zip code is. If the zip code is Philadelphia, then go with that. If it makes you feel any better I put Buffalo on my save the dates instead of Cheektowaga (a suburb of buffalo). It was an accident but I’m going to just run with it

Vionics are great, they sell a very small variety in Nordstrom too, to try on. I have plantar fasciitis as well, and their flip flops and slippers are life savers. Also, my new favorite place is called The Walking Company. They have cute shoes that don't look orthopedic, but definitely are. My birthday is coming up, and my mother, aunt and i went shopping and we bought 3 pairs of shoes! They aren't cheap, much like vionic, but they are comfortable, and they have ballet flats that might work!

I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and osteoarthritis is in one due to a traumatic ankle/heel break. I find my heels actually love being lifted a little but my ankle does not, so I try to find shoes in a kitten heel. It's just a tiny lift and I can tolerate it for a few hours at a time. I am also going to buy a pair of flats just in case because my dress would look really weird with sneakers. lol

I have plantar fasciitis in both feet too, so bad I've undergone surgery last year on my left. My fh isn't to keen on the sneakers either but he's just gonna have to deal with them for one evening.
