Shoes!!

I've yet to figure out my something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. But thank you for reminding me. I like the Chuck's idea for shoes, was looking for heals but I have a pair of blue high tops I might use instead now.

Yes, sneakers!

I wore purple high heels for the ceremony, and my Ravenclaw Vans for the reception.

My something blue was my Ravenclaw diadem comb, holding my veil in place, new was my attire, something old were my grandmother's pearls, and something borrowed were my stepmother's pearl earrings.

I found wearing old/borrowed jewelry was really emotional, but in a good way. It was like carrying on traditions and connecting to family.

I am wearing slippers!! I haven’t gotten them yet, but since our wedding is in November and I wear moccasins literally EVERYWHERE, it is only suitable that I get a pair of blinged out Mocs for my wedding day. I’m actually really excited about it, my venue has a set of stone steps that I want to walk up to get to the ceremony so I needed something that I could walk in. I love the chucks, that was what I was going to wear before I got the moccasins idea. I’m doing sapphire jewelry, so that will be my something blue and the pair of earrings I’m wearing is my something old because I’ve had them for YEARS. My best friend is lending me a sapphire bracelet that will be my something borrowed. I can’t wait!
