I spent way too long in DSW trying on shoes. I’m not really a heels person so I picked which ones were most comfortable. These are the two I got. Might think the 2nd shoe is too casual? What shoes did you wear?

I love shoes so I’m wearing 4 inch heels. They are super comfy for being heels. Plus my husband is 6’2 and I’m 5’6.. I wore flats for our small ceremony and the photographer kept telling me to stand in my tippy ties 😂

They are not at all too casual - theres no such thing! its your wedding. if you like them best and theyre the most comfortable to you, wear them! most people wont pay attention or notice them if they were to see them. i think theyre perfect as they wont stop you from having fun. you sure wont be in pain by the end of the night! im wearing a nude 4 inch chunky heel and they are very comfortable. mine probably look casual as well, but thats what i prefer! its all personal preference. cant go wrong with either. good luck 😊

Comfort is everything on a long day when you will be in the spotlight. Those won't get any wows, or any negatives. They will blend in, with little notice and just the toe band on view. And a happy look on your face from the comfort is worth everything.

I love them! Both are so different in terms of glam. It would all depend on your dress.

These are the shoes I’m wearing, also flats

I love both options! I agree with what other people have said - definitely go with the pair that are the most comfortable to you and you feel the most "yourself" in. Most people will likely not notice what shoes you are wearing, but they will notice your energy and how comfortable you feel. Aesthetically though, you can't go wrong!

This is good to know about the photographer! I'm also 5'6 and my fiancé is 6'2, and I was planning on wearing flats, but now I might rethink it, at least for photos! Haha, thanks for sharing!

Shoes 7I wholeheartedly agree with going with a shoe that you can be comfortable in! Gorgeous shoes may LOOK fantastic, but I've done the 'how do I get blood out of the hem of my gown' thing before, and I will never make that mistake again!! My fiance is 6' tall (but Everyone in our group is shorter), and I'm 5'3". I actually enjoy feeling dainty next to him, and actively looked for ballet flats that have arch support so we can dance and move around comfortably at our wedding. Besides, these shoes I can actually wear again after the wedding. Practical, comfortable and pretty (and on sale at under $50). I'll admit, I Am So jealous of some of you for the amazing heels and sparkly shoes, but I'm terribly clumsy, so this is what works for me.
Very few people will be seeing my feet, anyways.

You wear what you will be most happy in! I heard some advice that said don’t spend crazy long deciding on shoes if you are wearing a long dress! Half the time no one sees them! I’m deciding on flats because I want to be able to walk down the aisle without worrying about tripping lol

My dress. 😍 I didn't want to do the traditional white dress, and I adore gardening, so when my teenager found this dress in the store (Milk & Honey, in Virginia Beach, VA), I completely fell in love with it. It doesn't work At All with our theme (Medieval wedding), so I'm trying to 'medieval it up' by adding this veil, vintage jewelry, and some kind of arm bands with the same drapey printed floral fabric coming down the back. Do you think that would help?Shoes 9

That dress makes such a mid-20th century fashion statement, that I think trying to go medieval would never work. Just be a time traveler, an exotic modern couple visiting those times, where colors were dark, everyone swathed in layers and heads and arms covered more often than not. And you are the complete opposite, like a parrot among crows, or a fantasy vision against that dark and heavy backdrop. Don't try to disguise yourself to blend in. Impossible, and doing it badly would look so strange in portrait photos where the medieval theme does not show, and here you are in heavy clunky pewter like stuff that does not go with your clothes. The dress is GREAT. Rock it .
