You can wear sneakers, wedges, boots... if your dress is long, no one will see your boots.

How familiar are you with this field? What is planted in this field? How well is it maintained/mowed? I’m a country girl and I’ll be honest I don’t go barefoot much. There’s a grass/weed in my yard that has thistles. There are bees and yellow jackets that don’t take kindly to being stepped on. If it’s a hayfield that’s been cut, some of those grasses can be kinda tough to step on.
I guess when you say field i think of something more wild than a manicured lawn. If it’s well manicured then barefoot would be okay, if it’s wild, I’d wear something flat or at least a wider heel like boots or wedges. Again if you’re dress is long you can wear whatever. I’m getting married by wooded trails. I’m wearing “Toms” for the ceremony and then likely slipping on my trail running shoes for pictures in the woods.

If you want heels, I would just get a low chunky block heel with a strap! That way you won’t dig into the ground and your shoe will stay secure to your foot!

I would decide on shoes after you found your dress!

I have a fun flowy dress and I am wearing blinged out sandals from David's Bridal.

Personally I wouldn’t chance stepping on something barefoot. There are so many cute flat shoes out there!
But I definitely agree that you should wait to pick shoes until after you’ve found your dress.

My wedding is in grass as well and I ordered a pair of keds, they have a Kate spade collection specifically for weddings! I got white sparkly ones and they will be so comfy for dancing and I don’t have to worry about tripping in heels or getting stuck in the grass Smiley smile

Barefoot seems dangerous, just because you'll never be able to be positive that there isn't anything that'll hurt you in the grass. I'd go for converse or flats - no chance of falling, but you also will be protected from bugs, twigs, etc.

I just walked through a field that is pretty maintained with some flat keens that are open on the top of my foot and scratched my foot on something walking through the grass. I would re

I'm getting married in grass and decided to wear flats. If you want to wear heels you can find caps for high heels on amazon so that your heels don't sink into the ground. But being in a meadow, I would suggest something flat since the ground is likely to be somewhat uneven
