Shoes?

Stephanie, on June 28, 2019 at 8:41 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

What shoe color do you suggest? I know they won’t really be seen, but I don’t want them to clash, or look weird! My dress is ivory with pink, green and gold embroidery with a mauve-ish belt. I want to have some fun with them and do not want white/ivory shoes. I have blue sandals for the reception, but am looking for a shoe with more support for the ceremony as I will have to walk on grass and a boardwalk to get to the ceremony space which is in a clearing in the woods with crushed gravel. Otherwise I would just wear the same shoes!

My belt is slightly darker as this model has an ivory tulle belt on top of the other one which I will not be using.

I think if you could find shoes that match the belt color it would be super cute.

Thank you! I have looked at a pair that seems to be pretty close to that color that I’m thinking of. I have been putting this off, but my first alterations appointment is in a couple weeks and I need to bring my shoes with me!

As you mentioned, no one will really see them. But in your case, with all the different ground textures, maybe just some cute pink ballet shoes. I think it would be cute with your dress style. I don’t usually suggest flats. But it sounds like you need them.

I think anything works! Gold, pink, green, whateverr! I would probably focus more on the TYPE of shoe - perhaps a wedge so you don't have to worry about sinking or your heel catching on anything?

I would definitely do a fun splash of color, green would be perfect if you could find a complimentary shade! Your dress is beautiful, by the way Smiley smile

I have always planned on blue shoes (not necessarily for something blue, but because it's my favorite color), bit I can't decide if blue would be too much since my dress already has pinks and greens?

Thanks so much for all of your suggestions. I'm heading to Philly this week for a dr. Appointment so am taking advantage of the shopping and planning on looking at shoes instead of just looking at websites. I don't have many options where I live!

Zappos has them and usually for less. Zappos is free shipping and free returns for 365 days so long as returned in the same condition.

I tried on 4 pairs from zappos and ended up keeping 1 from badgley mischka.
