Shoes for Cinderella size feet

Michaila, on May 24, 2019 at 12:39 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

Let me start out by saying that I wear a size 5 usually in women's. I have been known to own size 2 boy's shoes and wear them, so let's just say I have very small feet. I got caught up in the wedding fever and bought these ridiculously sparkly heels for $14 on clearance because they were my size and because they were cheap - and they don't go with my dress at all.

I am also 4'9" so there's no danger of me being taller than my FH (who's 5'6" or something like that) but I'm also clumsy and don't want to fall on my face and die, so let's stay under 2.5" inches, preferably 2 inches. I'm gettting married in a church. There is some outdoor space, but most of it has gravel or paving stone, so I'm not worried about grass.

My wedding's in October, so I'd like to stay away from sandals. I don't even really want a peep toe but I'll get over it. I like Mary Janes and t straps but I'm not going 50's vintage for my wedding so those don't really seem to fit. I'm trying to go for classic, timeless, romantic, with a touch of old book nerd.

Here's my dress and a picture of my flower girl and bridesmaid's dresses:

The most comfortable pair of heels I own are a nude pair of these:

If I could get them in white, I would, but they're out of stock.

Would lacey Mary Janes be too much? Like the ones that tie with the ribbons in the middle? Plain white be too boring? I wanted blue to match my girls but I can't get anything dyed steel blue to match them. I really don't want to spend more than $50ish. Thoughts?

I think you wear whatever shoe you want that gives you more confidence and makes you feel beautiful. If that's Mary Janes then wear Mary Janes. No one is really going to see your shoes since your gown is long.

My shoes were royal blue and almost no one knew that until we got our photos back and there were specific pictures of them.

Lacy Mary Janes sound so cute! Payless is closing and might have something cheap, if there's one in your area? Also, if you're down for wearing a flat shoe like a Mary Jane, you might be able to find a child's special occasion shoe, and those are usually pretty affordable!

These are the shoes I am wearing for my ceremony. they are fairly comfortable as far as heels go but not so comfortable that I don't want to change into vans for the reception but I wear work boots ever day not heels... lol

They ar sold by David's bridal. I think they would look very nice with your dress

I love online shopping haha! I'm looking everywhere but not seeing size 5s anywhere but Amazon.

    I ordered a 5.5 from dsw, but I'm not seeing 5s there.

You could look for something nwt on Poshmark too.

Thanks for the reminder about payless- stopped by there today and spotted some pale blue suede pumps - thought they were only 40% off $30, but turned out to be 75% off, so I got them for $7.50! Perfect for this bride on a budget! The lighter blue will match my flower girl nicely.

(very similar to Cs's kitten heel - love kitten heels. Not a huge fan of pointy toe shoes though. But the ones I found are nice and rounded._
