Shoes causing snags?

Stephanie, on January 4, 2014 at 1:45 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

So I keep coming back to look at these shoes. I am worried, however, that the ornament will be a problem with the bottom of my dress. Snags and such.... Look into your crystal ball....what do you think?

I agree. I think they would snag that tulle for sure. Try something with a flatter or rounder shaped broach on the shoes.

They are really pretty. If you really love them maybe you can wear them for something else like the rehearsal dinner or bacholorette party.

    Yes. It will. A lot.

    I wore these: http://www.zappos.com/nina-fidelia-wine

The seamstress tried to hem the tulle under my dress so it would be too high to snag, but it didn't help, snagged anyway.

I almost went for a shoe with a crystal embellishment near the toes and was worried about the exact same thing, especially because my skirt is tulle and I have a slip with some netting inside of it. I don't want it to snag and rip or trip me up so I opted to not get those shoes!

Alright, other Stephanie Smiley winking You've convinced me to not go the embellishment route. I think those shoes you chose are very nice and I would have thought they would be safe from snagging. If those are snagging it is time to go in another direction.

Maybe these. I need a low heel and a strap or I am doomed.

Are you wearing a slip? That could fix the issue.

Nope. Hate to talk from experience, but I had ornate shoes with lots of bling, and layers and layers of silk organza at my practice "wedding". No problem whatsoever with snagging and I wore them all night.
