Shoe suggestions...

Katie, on February 4, 2020 at 11:08 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

I'm getting married in November (still plenty far away) but am starting to think about shoes for the big day. I tend to have foot problems but would probably be able to do a day... any suggestions?

Think comfort!! I was never a heel type of girl. So I'm doing white canvas shoes. I can decorate them or do whatever and still wear them everyday.

Check DSW clearance. More affordable. Maybe Macy's.

Get comfortable shoes and prioritize shoes that won't kill your feet over ones that look extra, especially if you have a floor length gown and your shoes won't be super noticeable. If you want fancy shoes but are worried you won't be able to wear them all night, I'd recommend getting a more comfortable pair you can change into after your ceremony and first dances but make sure the heel heights are similar. Lots of brides want to wear super glam sparkly heels for their wedding and then change into comfy flats, but it's impossible to hem a dress correctly to account for several inches in height variation. If you wear flats with a dress designed for 3-4" heels you'll be tripping over it for most of the night.

Yes! All of this! I agree that if you're wearing a long dress, nobody will really see your shoes anyway. They make blingy chucks or lacy keds and things like that, too.
