Shoe mess

Geneva, on April 24, 2020 at 3:42 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
Has anyone else had to learn how to walk in higher heels due to the length of their dress?! How long did it take? And how can I make my legs stronger to hold myself up?!

If you’re not comfortable in heels you could alter the hem of the dress to make it shorter. Otherwise, there are tons of leg workouts online that can help strengthen them if that’s what you’re after

You are going to be on your feet all day. I would get the dress hemmed so you can wear more comfortable shoes. In terms of leg strength: squats or really any leg exercise will help.

Was it altered for you or did you get a pre-worn dress? It should still be able to be altered to your height.

I have to agree with the others, I would shorten the dress and wear shoes that are more than comfortable you will be on your feet all day

Calf raises are amazing for your legs and will help you walk in heels.

Honestly, you need to be comfortable. If you're finding shoes to accommodate your dress, maybe you should instead have the dress length shortened an inch or so. You don't want to sprain an ankle on your wedding day!

    Good luck 💜

There’s no way I’m wearing heels, LOL. I absolutely suck at walking in them + plus our ceremony is on the beach, so no reason to wear shoes at all really, and I want to dance during the reception so adios heels!

I agree! I say if you can have your seamstress hem your dress.
