Shipping Costs

Hi Everyone,

I'm curious to know what experiences other brides have had with wedding dress shipping costs once they have said yes to their dress at a bridal shop. I have a budget for my dress but I did not account for shipping costs and am not sure what to expect.

Looking for any advice you can give.

    My bridal salon (True Society in Kansas City) didn’t have any shipping costs (nor did any of the 5 other stores I visited). The only added additional costs were taxes and customizations (I ordered my dress with a modesty panel, longer liner to meet the train, and special hem). I would plan on including an additional 10% (or more/less) for taxes in your budget. Not every designer/salon will offer customizations, but you do want to be mindful of alteration costs (hem, bustle, etc) and if accessories (veil, jewelry, shoes, etc) are included in the same budget.

    I didn't have any additional shipping costs, though I suspect that they were built into the pricing.

    None of the bridal salons I went to had any shipping costs. I went to 7 places

    Echoing what was said above - if you're buying your dress from any sort of salon, there shouldn't be any shipping costs to account for! You will have sales tax and usually an option to tip your consultant, so don't forget that in the budget!

    I didn’t have any. I actually just picked up my dress today and we only paid for the dress and taxes + tip for the shop
