What color shawl would you match with these dresses? December wedding.

    I'd just go with white

The colors are so vibrant, I'd probably do ivory (or whatever color your dress is), or depending on your overall color scheme, maybe a dark forest green or another dark "neutral." The BM dresses are gorgeous, but I think it will be difficult to "match" them exactly and I wouldn't want to add another bold color.

I would go with a white one. Plus your girls will be more inclined to use it again with another outfit it were a neutral color.

My dress is ivory but has a pinkish undertone. I am thinking the first picture for me and the next for them.

My dress is not white it is ivory and has an undertone of a pinkish color. What do you think of the colors in the pictures of The scarves I posted?

It might work better for the red dress. With the gold it's too many shades and fabrics and may clash.

I like the champagne color, as long as it doesn't clash with the gold BM dress.

Also, I'd consider exactly what the point of the shawls is. Do you expect it to be cold enough that the girls may need them for warmth and/or are they just an accessory (but not needed for their practical value)? Do you think they'll be worn in photos or during the ceremony?

Daughter's wedding was in January in So Cal. We didn't expect it to be cold enough that they'd NEED protection from the weather, but at the same time thought they might need something later in the evening since their dresses were sleeveless. She did NOT expect that they would need a wrap during photos or for the 3:30 ceremony. Anyway, she was able to find dark green shawls that matched the color of the BM dresses exactly, and she had an ivory one to match her dress. Two of the BMs wore theirs for a little while after dinner, but once the dancing began, no one was cold.... I think what you choose might depend on your purpose. If it's likely to actually be COLD, and the BM's will need something to protect them from that (possibly during the ceremony and/or photos) I'd look for something else. If it's just a matter of, they may want to throw something over their shoulders for a few minutes, then I think what you're considering is fine.

Yeah, an ivory sounds right or white if your dress is white

What about a light grey for everyone? I haven’t been able to find a ivory color currently just white. 😑

That might work- I can see a semi-sheer shawl working well.

Throwing over shoulder when walking outside for photos. We are in wa. At the highest it will be 40-50 lowest 30s we are taking photos mid day so I am hoping it will be a little higher. I just want them to have something to throw over while transitioning to outside locations.

In that case, if you can't find ivory, I'd go with a dark neutral like navy or gray. (I think navy will probably work better with the gold; it's beautiful, but seems like a tough color to pair a lot with because it's so bold and yellow -- at least in the photo.) It sounds like the shawls are strictly for their practical value, so I'd focus on finding something with some weight to it and not otherwise distracting/clashing. No one will see them anyway. Good luck!

I found a wool white and grey one but it is plaid. I know not everyone likes plaid but it’s definitely a heavier fabric so I may go with that.

With temps between 30-50 degrees, I'd definitely appreciate warmth over anything else.... Smiley winking (I'm a So Cal native, so we tend to think that range is "FREEZING" and our local TV weather would be cautioning us against frostbite! LOL!)
