Shapewear or not?

Kaleigh, on February 14, 2020 at 9:23 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 32
I would love everyone’s honest opinion! I can’t decide if I should buy shape wear or not, in this picture my dress hasn’t been altered yet so it will be more fitted. Shapewear or not? 1

I think it’s fits pretty well already!!! I would always opt for shape wear for anything that’s figure hugging. But since it has its own built in corset you probably don’t need it.

I don't think you need shapewear to look slimmer (you look awesome!), but in the photos it looks like you have some VPLs (visible panty lines)? If that's the case, I'd look for a long shaper or slip that ends below where the skirt poofs out at your knees to get rid of those lines. Beautiful dress!

I'm wearing the hell outta some spanks. I'm of the opinion that even people with excellent curves (I got curves) can benefit from smoothing out. My best friend is amazingly in shape, and she wore spanx for her wedding, too.

Yes to shape wear. It will flatten and smooth the body best.

Yes shapewear as it will help smooth the fabric.

You look beautiful! But I think some spanks would make the dress look very smooth

You look beautiful in the dress, but will you be comfortable to sit down during the wedding because it clings to your every curve? And will you feel carefree to dance since the bottom half looks like you'll be limited to move around very easily? Whatever you choose, you will be beautiful

If you go the shapewear route, I’d suggest a slip or ones that allow you to leave on when using the bathroom. (Slit at the bottom that you can pull to the side when you pee). It’s going to be hard anyway (lifting the dress etc) you don’t want to be pulling shape wear up and down all night too!! Depending on the dress I pick, that’s what I’m planning to do.

Your dress is gorgeous you figure is curvy. However , to get the total WOW factor I’m all for a shapewear to help smooth everything out and that will help TOPPPPP you off on your special day.

I don’t think you need it...looks like it fits great! But also nothing wrong with getting one to squeeze you in a little bit more if you wanted

I would for the smoothing effect, but you dont need it for slimming that's for sure. I'm wearing some for the support too.

I'd wear it. You'll feel more beautiful in your own mind. We hate ourselves the most, you're beautiful in you dress as is but in the back of your mind you dont want to feel self conscious on your big day!

I don't think you need it, but if you cannot find seamless panties that don't show under your dress shapewear might be the best option.

A couple things to consider with shapewear is that 1) you want to make sure you can pee without taking off your entire dress so consider something with a crotch opening and 2) shapewear may make you hotter than wearing just regular panties and having cups fitted to your dress.

I like the smoothness that shape ware provides. Where did you find your dress? It's Beautiful
