shape Wear!

Q, on April 6, 2021 at 9:56 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
Ladies, what’s the best shape wear (Either white or nude —but preferably white). I have a crepe neckline and back so I need something entirely strapless and backless for support. I’ve been shopping around for a while but no real luck. The one I did find is sold out and only comes in black (which will show under my dress for sure). Any brands that come to mind that would work ? Help!!!!! I’m picking up my dress soon and I have to have my shape wear when I bring it to the seamstress for alterations in two weeks. shape Wear! 1

No recommendations for brands, but FIY as someone who worked in a lingerie department for a couple years - white lingerie/shapewear under white clothes is MORE visible than beige! If you want the shapewear to be invisible you will want to match your skintone as much as possible, if you're white you would probably look for a shade of beige/ "nude".

Your dress is gorgeous, Elizabeth! I'm unfortunately not super useful for this conversation, but is it possible to add cups for a bit more support? If that gives enough support, then you could do shape wear that only comes as high as the "solid" back of the dress does.

There are many reviews for Honeylove and Shapermint on the forums.

Instead of cups that really only work for small cup sizes (A-B), you can look into therabbitbra.com or ask the seamstress to add boning for lift/support as cups don't help much if you are a D or larger.
