Shades of blue or Cobalt

Carla, on December 20, 2016 at 10:17 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 16

So I am trying to figure out how can I put diffrent shades of blue into everything. Tables, bridesmaids dresses etc. I wanted to go more for a modern/bling wedding. I have several ideas but I don't want to have wintery theme either because it's in december. FOR EXAMPLE snowlakes I do not want. FH really liked the cobalt color and I saw a few decorations with that for the tables but the bridesmaids dresses is more difficult to visualize it when I have 6 maybe 7 bridesmaids to match with the shades of blue. So I am not sure exactly if certain colors aren't the "right ones" for our wedding. Please help me decide if either cobalt blue or shades of blue. More pics in the comments.

I like the cobalt or to incorporate more colors #5. If you do colbalt, is that the only color or will you add another?

I think we have the same Pinterest board. I'm doing cobalt BM dresses and silver/grey accents. My flowers will be white flowers and blue dendrobium orchids

I like the cobalt blue. Although my colors are royal blue, silver and black so I might be a little bias. I picked royal blue because it's easier to match with my OCD tendencies. I was basically in the same boat as you are with deciding between a blue or shades of blue.

I am totally going to look up pin 2 -- I am leaning towards shades of blue for my wedding. In love with ice blue but not sure how to mix it right.

If you don't want winter wedding vibe, I would say go with the cobalt. Your first examples are really nice. Good luck!

@Natalie FH chose cobalt he loved the bright color and his fav color is blue so instead of just cobalt blue I was like what if we add more shades that are lighter but now idk what those colors should be and that is why I am so lost. And wondering how i would do it with the bridesmaid dresses. Bevause if I chose shades of blue I dont want them to be wearing just one blue.

Probably a bit biased since we did cobalt blue and gold. I like the cobalt.

We are going with aqua blue and navy with a touch of magenta/purple. I think you could add in plenty of different shades and still make it work. Trust me it's next to impossible to find these exact shades in flowers or decor so you have to be willing to mix in other shades.
