Has anyone tried to sew beads (small) on a veil? Are there any tricks?

Susan, do you have any experience putting a scattering of pearl heads into a veil instead of going in a straight line?

No, not really - but I would suggest reading thru the suggestions given me (almost 6 years ago and 2 grandbabies ago now!)

The Tissue paper trick worked best for me. Gave the Tulle the support. You could actually MARK on the tissue paper with your 'scatter pattern' - then use that to know where to sew your pearl heads. Also - I would recommend CLEAR thread.

    Good luck!

Has anyone used a sewing machine with a beading foot to sew small pearl or rhinestone trim around the edge of a veil? I thought about using tissue or wax paper to stabilize it.
